Interdisciplinary Learning in Ma Shi Chau

Nature is a natural treasure of learning which allows students to broaden horizons and inspire thinking. On 7 November 2015, 60 teachers and students bounded for Yim Tin Tsai and Ma Shi Chau to join an interdisciplinary learning program, blending a variety of aspects including Environmental Science, Biology, Geography, Information Technology and Photography. Students could investigate from different perspectives, namely biodiversity, water quality analysis and land use, to elucidate the details of sustainability in Sam Mun Tsai Village and ecology in rocky shore of Ma Shi Chau. The field study was led by senior pioneers, supervised by teachers, so that their younger schoolmates collected data and analyzed findings on-site in groups.
