Few schools in Hong Kong spare an independent venue for students to learn the United Nations (UN) amid acute space shortage – but CFSS does. In addition, we are fortunate to have frequent close encounters with important UN officials.  On 31 Oct, 2012, Ambassador Chen Jian, President of UN Association of China, shared with us his work experience in UN.  His success aroused our students’ curiosity about his job difficulties, attitude towards current issues and even time management skills.   In the afternoon, another distinguished guest, Mr. Shantha Retnasingam, unveiled our plaque of ESD Experimental School awarded by UNESCO. Mr. Retnasingam is Chief of Section for Cooperation with Multilateral and Private Funding Sources of UNESCO.  He addressed our students, and considerably awakened them to the importance of sustainable development.
