Sea turtles are widely distributed in tropical and subtropical waters. Yet, they are facing several threats: from egg-stealing to massive slaughter by bottom trawling and accidents from lining fishing methods. Sea turtles have rarely entered Hong Kong waters since 2005. Green Gurus of our school would like to raise the whole school’s awareness of sea turtle conservation, and therefore launched a morning signature campaign on 6^th Oct 2014 (Mon). The campaign was well-supported by more than 300 teachers and students in which each of us had left a warm blessing to sea turtles and signified our action by pouring sand to reconstruct a habitat for spawning of sea turtles in Hong Kong. With the kick-off of the campaign, Green Gurus will strive for their best to spread conservation messages to the whole campus.
