In recent years, China’s space development has been evident to all. In 2021, it marks a lot of important breakthrough in China’s space exploration endeavours. To share the development of the Nation’s aerospace industry and promote the scientific spirit, the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR, HKSAR Government, China Association for Science and Technology, and Bauhinia Culture Holdings Limited, in association with the National Museum of China, and China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation have organised the Distinguished Chinese Scientists Lecture Series and invited top-notch space programme scientists to give seminars in Hong Kong. Principal Ho together with Deputy Principal Mr. Kwok and Assistant Principals Mr. Ho and Mr. Lee attended the lectures by Mr. Qi Faren, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Chief Designer of Shenzhou spaceship, Mr. Xie Jun, Deputy Chief Designer of the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System, Chief Designer of BeiDou’s third-generation satellite and Ms. Zhang He, Executive Director of the Chang’e 4 probe project on 23 and 24 June 2021. Besides, our students and staff also attended a webinar sharing session by Mr. Qi Faren organized by the Education Bureau on 25 June 2021.
