CFSS Students Were Awarded in Hong Kong Biology Literacy Award

The Hong Kong Biology Literacy Award is organized by the Hong Kong Association for Science and Mathematics Education (HKASME), aiming to stimulate student’s active interest by expanding their exposure on scientific investigation. CFSS Getting Fruitful Results in the 24th Hong Kong Youth Science & Technology Innovation Competition

Following the outstanding performance in the previous years, our School succeeds to grab 18 prizes in the 24th Hong Kong Youth Science & Technology Invention Competition 21-22. CFSS Student Getting Award in International Biology Olympiad – Hong Kong Contest 2021

International Biology Olympiad – Hong Kong Contest was co-organized by the Education Bureau of the Government of HKSAR and the Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education in Nov 2021. Winner of the ‘Most Active Participation School Award’ & ‘Best Performance School Award’ on the Low-Carbon Living Online Q & A Competition

To foster students’ understanding of the ways to practise low-carbon living, all of our students participated in the “Low-Carbon Living Online Q & A Competition” on the E-Learning Platform on Decarbonisation which is organized by the Council for Sustainable Development and the Education Bureau. Prize Presentation for the 5th Hong Kong Specimen Drawing Competition

Twenty-one of our students have participated in the fifth Hong Kong Specimen Drawing Competition as presented by the Hong Kong Branch of the Royal Society of Biology in December 2020. They have been selected by the adjudicator panel in recognition of their remarkable drawings and received the awards as listed below. CFSS students won the Merit Award in the STEM Education Challenge 2020-2021

The captioned STEM Education Challenge (Secondary Section) is divided into preliminary and final competitions. It aims to allow students to develop creativity, improve their hands-on creation and problem-solving skills as well as allowing them to learn teamwork spirit. Each team was provided with bamboo sticks, rubber bands, bean bags and other materials. CFSS Students Winning Second Runner-up in The Dream District VR Competition

On 24 August 2021, six S.3 students took part in the “Dream District” VR Competition organized by St. Paul’s Secondary School, and won the Second Runner-up. The participating students have enriched their knowledge and expertise in VR development during the preparation process. They have also broadened their horizons for the possibility of incorporating VR in multiple disciplines, by observing the presentations from the competing teams and listening to the feedback from the judges.

The Hong Kong Student Science Project Competition 2021 (jointly organized by the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, the Education Bureau, the Hong Kong Science Museum and supported by the Innovation and Technology Commission and Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation) is a significant science competition for secondary schools.
