CFSS Obtaining the Most Cans Raised Award of the Paint Can Feed Competition organized by Food Angel

Paint Can Feed is a charity event organized by Food Angel. It aims to raise funds and awareness for the hunger and poverty issues in Hong Kong. Students showcased their creativity by using the most eco-friendly ways to decorate intact food cans for the competition. Our School got the Most Cans Raised Award and students’ artworks were exhibited at Hysan Place from 29 September to 13 October 2015.

Science Elite Young Ambassador Programme was co-organized by Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks and the Education Bureau. Low-Carbon Guru: “Back to the Future” Monopoly

To promote low-carbon lifestyle, Low-carbon Gurus successfully organized “Back to the Future” Monopoly in the covered playground from 28 to 30 May 2012. Using 70 display boards, a maze was set up with thematic checkpoints, namely Global Warming Zone, Landfill Zone, Water Shortage Zone, Kitchen Waste Zone and Disaster Zone, with environmental problems arisen 50 years later coming alive to the students. Low Carbon Guru Activity Series: Green Diet

Low-Carbon Gurus launched a lunchtime Low-Carbon Herbal Tea Workshop to promote low-carbon lifestyle from 5h to 7th March 2012. The herbal yea includef Perilla Special Drink and Cymbopogon Melissa Herbal Tea. Gurus successfully advocated the concept of low-carbon diet to more than 200 teachers and students in the school, and delivered all their tailor-made special drinks within 15 minutes. Popular Science Enhancement Programme

To cultivate students’ interest in Popular Science, a series of workshops, collectively named as Popular Science Enhancement Program, were launched by our science teachers and green gurus at lunchtime so that students can take initiatives to experience the magic of Science.
