Our school collaborated with Education University of Hong Kong to launch two demonstration lessons on “Student-Centred Learning” on 13 June 2022 (Monday). The theme for the S.3 Science lesson was “Seed Dispersal Mechanisms” while the theme for the S.5 Biology lesson was “Evolution: Darwinism & Lamarckism”.Teachers from different schools conducted peer lesson preparation to plan for their learning activities of the lessons, aiming at fostering students’ self-directed learning and extended learning through group learning and collaboration. Amgen Biotech Experience (ABE) Programme

The Chinese University of Hong Kong and The Amgen Foundation collaborate to introduce “Amgen Biotechnology Experience (ABE) Programme” into Hong Kong schools, so that teachers can bring biotechnology experiments to real practice in the lessons. This enables students to unveil the details of daily applications of biotechnology nowadays. It has been the sixth year of our school to join the ABE Programme. Decline in arable land and growing population have worsened the food shortage crisis, and as global warming aggravate, global food supply and security has become an international issue with top priority.
