Australia Education Tour
In late July 2017, 30 students and 4 teachers set foot on Australia for the purpose of investigating its biodiversity, culture, transportation and tertiary education. They visited Cairns, Sydney and Canberra in the tour.

Our Students Grabbing Top Awards in Global Natural History Day 2017 – Global Finals (Chongqing)
Two students, Law Chung Hin Henry (S.5C) and Chan Chun Ming (S.5C), with their investigation project titled “Mind Our Birds, Save Our Earth”, obtained the Silver Award and the Kenneth E. Behring Regional Award in the Global Natural History Day 2017 – Global Finals (Chongqing) in July 2017. Our school hereby congratulates the two students for their outstanding performance.
CFSS Participating in New Generation Victoria Park InnoTech Expo with Full Support
“Driving Innovation Achieving Dream” Technology Show was one of the highlighted events to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of the HKSAR. It was launched in Victoria Park from 28th June to 2nd July 2017. One of the highlights of the Show was the “New Generation Victoria Park InnoTech Expo”, with exhibits from 8 universities and 20 primary and secondary schools. Chief Executive’s Award for Teacher Excellence [CEATE]
Our Science teachers Assistant Principal Mr. Ho Tik Shun, Ms. Leung Yue Shan Jennifer, Dr. Chan Pik Ying and Mr. Chung Cheuk Hung Vincent have received the honour of Chief Executive’s Award for Teaching Excellence (CEATE) in Science Education Key Learning Area. Our teachers have fostered biodiversity conservation through a series of teaching-related workshops by utilizing resources from online knowledge platform and Environmental Trail of our campus. Signature Campaign – Promoting 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
A signature campaign was launched on 3rd October to promote the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the campus. More than 400 students and teachers support our campaign. In addition, relevant resources on 17 SDGs were distributed in the Reading Periods for students to know more about how the goals have been acted on globally and what we can do to contribute. CFSS Was Awarded Both the Gold Award and the Most Enthusiastic Sharing Award
GAIA awards presentation ceremony was successfully held on 26th May. Our school was awarded the Gold Award and the Most Enthusiastic Sharing Award of the Year. At the same time, Assistant Principal Ho Tik Shun was also awarded the Most Outstanding Guru Award and the Most Enthusiastic Guru Award for his active participation in the GAIA energy saving platform.
MoCC Environmental Fair 2017
The MoCC Environmental Fair 2017 was held successfully in Cityplaza on 22 April. Being one of the participating schools of the Carbon Reduction Project, we are honoured to join ceremony. Three of our S.5 students (Choi Wing Sum, Tai Ho Ying Renee and Yoa Hon Fung) also represented the participated schools to share the results of the project in the ceremony.
Our School Gets the Exemplary School Award from the National Working Committee for UNESCO Project on Education for Sustainable Development in China
Our Assistant Principal, Mr. Ho Tik Shun, and our Science Teacher, Mr. Chung Cheuk Hung Vincent, represented the School to attend the 7th Beijing International Forum on Education for Sustainable Development and the 4th Asia-Pacific Expert Meeting on ESD – the Unveiling Ceremony of DaAi Senior Maker Center for SD in DaAi of Hebei from 26 to 29 October 2016. CFSS Honoured in Sustainable Development School Award Programme 2014-2016
CFSS was honoured again in the prize presentation ceremony of the 2014-2016 Sustainable Development School Award Programme, held on 16 July 2016. The Programme was launched in June 2014, and themed on “Waste Reduction at Source” as a continuous education drive to follow up on the CSD’s recent public engagement process on “Municipal Solid Waste Charging”. CFSS hard earned another honour in environmental protection – “Green School Gold Award” bestowed by the Environmental Campaign Committee (ECC), the Environmental Protection Department (EPD) and the Education Bureau (EDB) in the 12th Hong Kong Green School Award.
