Stress-relieving Shinrin Yoku (Forest-bathing) Workshop

In order to help students relax after the test week, the Counselling Team and Green Gurus is organizing a Stress-relieving Shinrin Yoku Workshop, which allows students to bathe in the forest atmosphere, awaken their senses and support them in building a deep, healing connection with nature. Promoting Citizen Science Education in All Our Endeavors

CFSS has been promoting Citizen Science in school and community in the recent years. Our effort has been recognized by the public. An extended abstract was submitted in The Third International European Citizen Science Association (ECSA) Conference, titled as “Levering Secondary Schools in Promoting Citizen Science on PIECE Approach: Student-Centred Learning for Whole-Person Development”, aiming at setting a framework for other schools to take reference to. Our School Participated in Global Biodiversity Surveying of the City Nature Challenge 2020: Hong Kong

The City Nature Challenge (CNC) 2020 is a global 4-day-long activity that citizens can log the most species in to gather more data on urban and rural biodiversity in their communities in the period of 24 Apr (Fri) to 27 Apr (Mon). In order to promote plant biodiversity and show students’ care to the elderly, the School’s Sustainable Development Team and Green Guru Team have organized an Elderly Service Program namely “Chinese Herbal Health Tea Workshop “with the Chinese YMCA Chai Wan Neighborhood Elderly Centre on 18 Jan 2020. World Robot Olympiad has developed to a truly global competition. WRO tournaments are organized in more than 65 countries. The WRO international final in November is hosted by a different country each year. Amazon on fire – Signature Campaign to conserve Amazon forests

Green Gurus of our school launched the “Amazon on fire” Signature Campaign on 27 Sept 2019 (Fri) on campus. Some scholars have pointed out that the Amazon rain forest, known as the “Lungs of the Earth”, handles 5% to 20% of the world’s photosynthesis every year. It plays an important role in restraining climate change as it can absorb and store large amounts of carbon.
