CFSS students participating in iNaturalist Species Surveying 2024

The City Nature Challenge (CNC) is a large-scale citizen science event that support species surveying around the world. This encourages the students and citizens from different participating cities to use the free iNaturalist app to record observations of local wildlife. Biology field trip to Mai Po

To consolidate student’s subject knowledge and equip them with more in-field exposure, S.5 and S.4 Biology students had joint the field trip at Mai Po Nature Reserve on 3rd April 2023, organized by the World Wide Fund (Hong Kong). 35 Students studying Biology had visited the vast habitats in Mai Po, including Gei Wai, mangroves, mudflats etc. In the guided tour, students were taught to use binoculars to observe and identify different bird species in birdwatching houses. On 10th December 2022, 13 students took part in the online Youth Biodiversity Forum organized by The China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation.
