Signature Campaign – Promoting 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

A signature campaign was launched on 3rd October to promote the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the campus. More than 400 students and teachers support our campaign. In addition, relevant resources on 17 SDGs were distributed in the Reading Periods for students to know more about how the goals have been acted on globally and what we can do to contribute. CFSS Was Awarded Both the Gold Award and the Most Enthusiastic Sharing Award

GAIA awards presentation ceremony was successfully held on 26th May. Our school was awarded the Gold Award and the Most Enthusiastic Sharing Award of the Year.  At the same time, Assistant Principal Ho Tik Shun was also awarded the Most Outstanding Guru Award and the Most Enthusiastic Guru Award for his active participation in the GAIA energy saving platform.

MoCC Environmental Fair 2017

The MoCC Environmental Fair 2017 was held successfully in Cityplaza on 22 April. Being one of the participating schools of the Carbon Reduction Project, we are honoured to join ceremony. Three of our S.5 students (Choi Wing Sum, Tai Ho Ying Renee and Yoa Hon Fung) also represented the participated schools to share the results of the project in the ceremony.

Our School Gets the Exemplary School Award from the National Working Committee for UNESCO Project on Education for Sustainable Development in China

Our Assistant Principal, Mr. Ho Tik Shun, and our Science Teacher, Mr. Chung Cheuk Hung Vincent, represented the School to attend the 7th Beijing International Forum on Education for Sustainable Development and the 4th Asia-Pacific Expert Meeting on ESD – the Unveiling Ceremony of DaAi Senior Maker Center for SD in DaAi of Hebei from 26 to 29 October 2016. CFSS Honoured in Sustainable Development School Award Programme 2014-2016

CFSS was honoured again in the prize presentation ceremony of the 2014-2016 Sustainable Development School Award Programme, held on 16 July 2016. The Programme was launched in June 2014, and themed on “Waste Reduction at Source” as a continuous education drive to follow up on the CSD’s recent public engagement process on “Municipal Solid Waste Charging”. CFSS Students Returned Gladly with The Silver Medal in International Sustainable World (Energy, Engineering & Environment) Project Olympiad (I-SWEEEP)

International Sustainable World (Energy, Engineering & Environment) Project Olympiad (I-SWEEEP) is a sustainable development science research project contest jointly organized by the Cosmos Foundation (CF) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in the United States. Targeting contestants from secondary schools, the contest, held every May in Houston, is renowned for resource technologies. Our Assistant Principal, Mr. Lee Chi Man, represented the school to attend the 11th Conference on Education for Sustainable Development in Beijing in on 18 September, 2012. Sustainable Development School Award Programme Prize Presentation Ceremony

We have joined the 2010 – 2012 Sustainable Development School Award Program. It was rewarding that more than 150 pioneer students, including Low-Carbon Gurus, Environmental Perfects, Student Council committee members and Leaders of Tomorrow, joined hands continually to promote SD within the school and in the community.
