CFSS Was Invited to Share in Worlddidac Expo 2015

Our School participated in the School Showcase in the Worlddidac Asia 2015 from 18th to 20th March 2015 at Hall 3 of the AsiaWorld-Expo. The Showcase presented 22 schools from 9 Asian countries for cross-border collaboration opportunities and displayed education resources and innovations by 100 exhibitors from 11 countries. In our booth, we emphasized our strength at Gifted Education, Science & Technology and Sustainability. Our school was also invited to share our views on collaboration to drive students’ achievement in the Education Partnership Forum (EPF).

Lunar New Year Nature Appreciation Voluntary Service

Led by Social Service Group and Green Guru Team, our school co-organized the Lunar New Year Nature Appreciation Voluntary Service with the Chinese YMCA Chai Wan Neighborhood Elderly Centre on 7 March 2015 (Sat) to have green adventures with elderly in Leaping Dragon Walk. CFSS was invited to participate in the LOHAS EXPO 2013 in the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre

Our school was invited to participate in the LOHAS (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability) EXPO 2013 in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Hall 3G from 1st to 3rd February 2013. The exhibition aimed in promoting green and healthy living style, and the theme of our booth “Green Household” (located at A13) echoes with this. Molecular Biotechnology Workshop 2017

In order to broaden students’ horizon on global development of molecular biotechnology in the recent years, more than 30 teachers and students have participated in a Molecular Biotechnology Workshop this Easter holidays. Students first attended a half-day pre-trip workshop in school, followed by a full-day trip to Beijing Genomic Institute and China National Genebank in Shenzhen the next day. Hong Kong Biodiversity Care Ambassador and Leadership Training Programme 2016 is launched with collaboration of Grateful Green Group, Lee Woo Shing College of The Chinese University of Hong Kong and Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department to cultivate green elites in schools. Interdisciplinary Learning in Ma Shi Chau

Nature is a natural treasure of learning which allows students to broaden horizons and inspire thinking. On 7 November 2015, 60 teachers and students bounded for Yim Tin Tsai and Ma Shi Chau to join an interdisciplinary learning program, blending a variety of aspects including Environmental Science, Biology, Geography, Information Technology and Photography. CFSS Student Volunteers in School Waste Reduction Campaign

Five of our Secondary Four and Five participated in the School Waste Reduction Campaign Workshop organized by the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) on 11 October, 2014. During the workshop, they visited the Exhibition Centre of HKPC and witnessed the latest green technologies (including the food waste composer). Besides, they acquired the latest methods and technology in reducing waste and waste control, which will help a lot in our forthcoming school-based Waste Reduction Campaign.
