To nurture students’ interest on biodiversity and arts, the Green Guru Team organized a visit to Botanical Art Exhibition of Prof. Zeng Xiao Lian.  Professor Zeng Xiao Lian is a professor grade illustrator in Kunming Institute of Botany, The Chinese Academy of Sciences, a member of China Artists Association, and was the chairperson of the Botanical Scientific Illustration Society of China, Botanical Society of China. A group of CFSS teachers and students visited the “2018 InnoTech Expo” in late September. Under the theme “Driving Innovation, from the Past to the Future”, three thematic exhibitions (Engineering, Agriculture and Healthcare) showcased the ancient Chinese inventions as well as the cutting-edge technology in the respective fields. Beijing-HK Youth Science and Innovation Elite Exchange Programme 2018

Beijing-HK Youth Science and Innovation Elite Exchange Programme 2018 was successfully launched in The Chinese Foundation Secondary School from 14 to 18 July 2018. 70 elite students from Beijing and Hong Kong went through the 5 days of learning and visits. 11 CFSS students participated in this Programme, which was organized by Beijing NGO Network for International Exchanges and Hong Kong Beijing Association Limited. 2nd Runner-Up in the 7th Hong Kong Youth Science Fiction Writing Competition

Our students have participated in the 7th Hong Kong Youth Science Fiction Writing Competition (2017-2018). After the final round, Lai Wing Yin (5B) won the 2nd Runner-Up in the Senior Division. Besides, Leung Hei Man (1D), Cheung Ho Lam (3B), Chiu Shun Lok (3E) were given Merit Awards in Junior Division, while Hung Tsz Hin (4A), Ho Ho Ching (4B) and Chu Choi Tung (5E) were given Merit Awards in Senior Division. HK Student Science Project Competition 2018

The Hong Kong Student Science Project Competition 2018 (jointly organized by the Innovation and Technology Commission, The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, the Education Bureau, the Hong Kong Science Museum and supported by the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation) is a significant science competition for secondary schools. As a continuation of the tradition of active participation in local science competitions, our school has achieved outstanding results in Hong Kong Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition (STIC) 2017-18.
