CFSS Students Selected as Hong Kong Representatives for the Caretakers of the Environment International (CEI) Conference 2016 in Denmark

Four CFSS students were selected to participate in an international conference in Denmark as Hong Kong representatives from late June to early July 2016. In the conference, delegates from over the world shared their own successful and innovative projects on promoting sustainable development. Our students proudly presented their project, “Ways to Promote Sustainable Mental Wellness among Hong Kong Teenagers”. Art and Science of Trees, Birds and Butterflies Exhibition at JCCAC

Our School held an exhibition at Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre (JCCAC) from 12th to 14th April 2013. There were four themes in the exhibition. The most attractive one was Birds. Our students spent a lot of time to create art work to show different characters of birds.  Besides, we promoted green living and introduced cross-curricular Activity Day at Tsung Tsai Yuen. We hope that visitors could be more aware of the natural ecology and the importune of environmental protect through our exhibits.

Bird-Watching Activity in Nam Sang Wai

Hong Kong Biodiversity Care Ambassador and Leadership Training Programme 2016 is launched with collaboration of Grateful Green Group, Lee Woo Shing College of The Chinese University of Hong Kong and Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department to cultivate green elites in schools. Interdisciplinary Learning in Ma Shi Chau

Nature is a natural treasure of learning which allows students to broaden horizons and inspire thinking. Science Elite Young Ambassador Programme was co-organized by Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks and the Education Bureau. Interdisciplinary learning in Ting Kok Mangrove

RYSA Switzerland Tour in Visiting Roche’s Headquarters

Three of our S.1 students won the champion of the Roche Young Scientist Award (http://www.cfss.edu.hk/event20130504.html) and were granted the chance to visit Roche’s headquarters in Switzerland. During the visit to Roche’s different departments, they understood better how the departments co-operated with each other and how the logistics work. The staffs not only introduced the history of Roche, but also explained the production procedures of drugs and diagnostic instruments in detail. CFSS Students Participated in the SSPC Japan Exchange Tour after Winning the Championship

CFSS students participated in the Hong Kong Student Science Project Competition 2013 and two teams won the championship of the junior division investigation project type and invention project type (http://www.cfss.edu.hk/event20130601.html). They were then invited to participate in exhibitions and exchange programmes. The Science Department and the Science Club, totalling 24 teachers and students, participated in the “Science and Creativity Workshop” organized by the Hong Kong New Generation Cultural Association Science Invention Centre on 14 September 2012.
