Online Workshop on “Aerospace Science and Space Seeds in CFSS”

30 CFSS teachers and students participated in the Online Lecture on “Aerospace Science and Space Seeds in CFSS” organized by Green Guru on 21 February 2022 (Mon). Winner of the ‘Most Active Participation School Award’ & ‘Best Performance School Award’ on the Low-Carbon Living Online Q & A Competition

To foster students’ understanding of the ways to practise low-carbon living, all of our students participated in the “Low-Carbon Living Online Q & A Competition” on the E-Learning Platform on Decarbonisation which is organized by the Council for Sustainable Development and the Education Bureau. No Plastic Campaign

Our S.2 students have searched the information about the problem associated from using single-use plastic in Hong Kong. They also researched the suggested solutions for “no plastic life”. They designed the board content and organized the manpower. In the morning of 9 December, 2021, our students set up the booth. Twenty-one of our students have participated in the fifth Hong Kong Specimen Drawing Competition as presented by the Hong Kong Branch of the Royal Society of Biology in December 2020. CFSS students won the Merit Award in the STEM Education Challenge 2020-2021

The captioned STEM Education Challenge (Secondary Section) is divided into preliminary and final competitions. It aims to allow students to develop creativity, improve their hands-on creation and problem-solving skills as well as allowing them to learn teamwork spirit. Each team was provided with bamboo sticks, rubber bands, bean bags and other materials. CFSS Student, Wong Yin Hom, Engaging in A Real-time Earth-space Conversation with The Taikonauts on Tianhe Space Station

Our school took part in the “In the Call of the Times: Looking Upward to Stars and Talking with Tiangong” event on September 3. Both our teachers and students had a glimpse of the environment inside and outside the Tianhe Space Station. CFSS Students Winning Second Runner-up in The Dream District VR Competition

On 24 August 2021, six S.3 students took part in the “Dream District” VR Competition organized by St. Paul’s Secondary School, and won the Second Runner-up. The participating students have enriched their knowledge and expertise in VR development during the preparation process. They have also broadened their horizons for the possibility of incorporating VR in multiple disciplines, by observing the presentations from the competing teams and listening to the feedback from the judges.
