習性

屬短日照植物,於日照時間漸短之秋冬季行花芽分化而至開花。

Growth habit:

Blossoms according to the sunshine hours

葉片卵形或披針形,長5-15厘米,羽狀

Leaf:

leaves ovate or lanceolate, 5-15cm long, pinnate

大小不一,單生或數個集生莖枝頂端;總苞片多層,外層總苞片綠色,線形,邊緣膜質,外面被柔毛。管狀花黃色;舌狀花白、紅、紫或黃色。

Flower:

ranging in size, solitary or several clustered on the top of stem; phyllary with multiple layers, outer layer of phyllary green, linear, margin membranaceous, outside pubescent. Tubular flowers yellow; ligulate flowers white, red, purple or yellow.

菊花的果實為瘦果(子房室含一枚種子,種子與子房壁分離,果皮不開裂)

性味功能

味甘、苦,性微寒。疏風清熱,平肝明目,解毒消腫。

Properties

Taste sweet, bitter, little cold in nature. Dispelling pathogenic wind-heat, suppressing hyperactive liver for improving eyesight, removing toxin for detumescence.
主治

用於外感風熱火風溫初起,發熱頭痛,眩暈,目赤腫痛,疔瘡腫毒。

Treats

Used for onset of affection of exogenous wind-heat, headache induced by pyrexia, vertigo, swelling pain induced by conjunctival congestion, furunculosis and swelling.
