| 描述 珊瑚化石，俗稱石柱子。常見的珊瑚化石有單體和複體兩大類型。單體珊瑚的骸體，從幾毫米到幾十釐米，通常有體壁圍繞，表面飾有粗細不等的皺紋，但在進化程度比較高級的珊瑚中，體壁退化。複體珊瑚呈緻密的塊狀體，或細弱的叢枝狀，由許多細小的珊瑚個體組成，有的從母體的軸部或側方分芽而出，有的通過珊瑚體壁上的孔或管，或各珊瑚單體之間的共骨組織或間隙管相互貫聯。 | Descriptions Coral fossils, commonly known as stone pillars.
