Introduction and Kick-Off Ceremony

1st July, 2017 marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR). To celebrate this significant milestone, the HKSAR Government was coordinating a series of activities under the leadership of the former Chief Secretary for Administration of the HKSAR, Mrs. Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, GBM, GBS, JP. With the overarching theme of “Together • Progress • Opportunity”, a number of cultural, arts, sports and youth-related events will be organized to bring about social cohesion and unity, and build up confidence and seize opportunities. Hong Kong people will be able to share the joy of this 20th anniversary celebration.

As a Direct Subsidy Scheme school established in the last two decades, The Chinese Foundation Secondary School (CFSS) is particularly elated over this memorable occasion. While encouraging our students to fully support and participate in those well-organized celebration events, CFSS is also launching a series of educational activities entitled “CFSS • INNOVATION • STREAM” to further celebrate the 20th HKSAR Anniversary. STREAM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Reading & wRiting, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. The programme is run through various innovative activities so that more areas are involved to provide a synergetic effect. Our students have the opportunities to not only gain new knowledge and skills in these areas, but also nurture creativity and an innovative mindset in the process. Some of these activities will be open to the public to share our experience.
