Project-based Learning

Project-based Learning

Project-based Learning (PBL) is one of the school-based modules of the Enrichment Course. The PBL-II module is seen as one subject in the S.2 curriculum. From the basic concepts about project work learnt in PBL-I, students further explore into research skills and work in groups of 7-8 to conduct research in PBL-II. Through the project, students work together from collecting and analyzing data, writing up report, giving oral presentation on their projects to displaying their work on board display.

This year, the twenty-five project groups carried out investigations into solutions to health and environmental issues (such as making eco-friendly correction fluid and sticky tape as well as an affordable and effective barrier to flooding for use by the households in rainy days), as well as projects on humanities topics (caring for the visually impaired and investigation into the content of the fast food against the advertisement and Hong Kong people’s habits and attitudes of reading food labels).
