Face-changing Art Performance

Secondary 1 students watched Face-changing Art Performance on Cultural Day. It is through participating in the activity that students have learnt more about Chinese culture and widened their horizons. Our student asked the performer some questions about face-changing art. She asked the performer the difficulties she faced when learning face-changing, and if the parents of the performer supported her decision of being a face-changing art performer. Students experienced face-changing art in the session, and they found it very interesting.

International Human Solidarity Day Programme

Our school joined International Human Solidarity Day Progarmme organized by UNESCO. We promoted human solidarity through various activities, including spaceship creation workshop and signature campaign. Students read aloud the solidarity declaration to celebrate the International Human Solidarity Day.

CFSS completed Jockey Club Fair Trade School Award Scheme 2019-2021

Our school joined Jockey Club Fair Trade School Award Scheme 2019-2021. Throughout these two years, our students attended talks and workshops and joined inter-school activities to widen their horizons in fair trade. Our Fair Trade Student Ambassador attended the Award Ceremony on 27th November 2021 to recognize their efforts in actively promoting fair trade. The student ambassadors were also awarded the second-runner up in promoting fair trade products in social media in inter-school fair trade competition.

Hong Kong Secondary School Model United Nations Conference 2018

12 students participated in Hong Kong Secondary School Model United Nations Conference 2018 from 13th to 15th July 2018. During the conference, the students acted as the country representatives in Human Right Council (UNHRC), Security Council (UNSC), General Assembly (UNGA) to discuss on global issues. One of our students, Wong Nicole, was awarded “The Best Speaker Award” in the activity.

Interaction with ethnic minorities

On Learning Activities Days, some S5 students joined the workshops to understand the situations of ethnic minorities in Hong Kong. They also learnt more about their cultures.

On 16th April 2018, Dr. Margaret Chan Fung Fu-chun, former Director-General of World Health Organization (WHO), visited our school and shared with our students her experience working in WHO. She also shared the importance of global awareness and a great sense of responsibility.

Signature Campaign on United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities

On 15th November 2017, a signature campaign on United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities was held during lunch time. Students had a greater concern for persons with disabilities.

Talk by Professor Lung Ping Yee David

Professor Lung Ping Yee David visit our school on 11th April 2018. As an UNESCO Chair in Cultural Heritage Resources Management, Prof. Lung shared with us in an lively way how heritage was related to human beings. He also told us the guidelines for preserving a historical site as UNESCO World Heritage.

Shanghai and Suzhou Education Tour

In April 2018, 60 students headed for Shanghai to study its science, technology and economy. They visited our sister school, Shanghai Nanyang High School, and attended lessons with their Shangahi counterparts.
