Talk by Mr. Sugiyama Mitsumaru and Ms. Kohno Yasue

Mr. Sugiyama Mitsumaru and Ms. Kohno Yasue, whose grandparents subsidized the activities of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen in 1900s, visited our school on 10 December. Our students shared with them how Hong Kong students understood the Dr. Sun’s contribution to China. Ms. Kohno Yasue gave a talk on the precious friendship between Japan and China.  Moreover, she elaboartoed on her organization’s understandin of Dr. Sun’s history. It was a good chance for the students to learn the history of Sun Yat-Sen from a global perspective.

Exchange programme with students from Woodgrove Secondary School

20 students from Woodgrove Secondary School of Singapore visited our school on 15 November 2016.  The focus of their visit was sustainable development. Our students, especially those involved in promoting sustainable development on our campus, were selected to have a chat with the visitors.  Afterward, the visitors toured around our campus, particularly amazed by the environmentally friendly aspects of GCCRC.

Talk by Mr. Miguel Lee Chang

Mr. Miguel Lee Chang, a successful businessman in Panama, came to our school on 16 December 2016 and gave a talk to our students to widen their global horizon for Latin America. The topic of the talk is ‘Latin America and Climate Change’. In the talk, Mr. Lee Chang introduced the geography and culture of Latin America. As a tree lover, he shared with us how trees are important  to the Earth. We have an obligation to save the trees in order to slow down…

Talk by Mr. Joseph Kahama

Mr. Joseph Kahama visited our school on 25th October 2016. He gave a speech on “Treasures of Tanzania Safari”. Tanzania was a peaceful place with a lot of precious animals. He introduced the beauty of Tanzania, but stressed the importance of sustainable development to preserve the place.  Mr. Joseph Kahama presented three African plants to our school, adding spice to our Environmental Trail.

Singapore and Malaysia Education Tour 2016
