Global Awareness Day

This year, our Global Awareness Day was held on 17th December 2019. the theme for global awareness day is about society. We promoted sustainable development goals on the day. In the morning, the student ambassadors greeted the students by asking what they could do for the sustainable development goals. During morning assemblies, students shared sustainable development goals based on their experience in education tours. Exchange programme with professors and teachers from Japan

17 professors and teachers visited our school on 9 March 2017. In order to understand more how secondary schools in Hong Kong work, they did not only visit our school, but also had good chats with our students. Our students enjoyed talking with them and knew more about the culture and education in Japan.

Talk by Mr. Sugiyama Mitsumaru and Ms. Kohno Yasue

Mr. Sugiyama Mitsumaru and Ms. Kohno Yasue, whose grandparents subsidized the activities of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen in 1900s, visited our school on 10 December. Our students shared with them how Hong Kong students understood the Dr. Sun’s contribution to China. Ms. Kohno Yasue gave a talk on the precious friendship between Japan and China. Moreover, she elaboartoed on her organization’s understandin of Dr. Sun’s history. It was a good chance for the students to learn the history of Sun Yat-Sen from a global perspective.

Japan Education Tour 2015

In order to broaden students’ global horizon, our School Supervisor Dr. Annie Wu sponsored 12 students, 2 alumni and 4 teachers to participate in an education tour to Fukuoka in late July. They aimed to study the sustainable development and culture of Japan. In the tour, students learnt waste treatment, efficient production of energy and the preservation of culture in Fukuoka. Here enclosed the report of their learning outcome.
