本校準中一聯學科體驗學習課程 – 有關科學科目 為使準中一同學更認識本校，學校於五月六日（星期六）舉辦了首天的聯學科體驗學習課程。上午時段主題科目為數理天文學；下午時段為資訊及通訊科技以及機器人學。

本校學生於「2016/17香港電腦奧林匹克競賽」及「全國青少年信息學奧林匹克聯賽」獲獎 中四同學黎永然再次在香港電腦奧林匹克競賽（HKOI）和全國青少年信息學奧林匹克聯賽（NOIP）2016/17年取得持續成就。 他獲得了前者的銅牌和後者的二等獎。

香港文匯報訊（記者 黎忞）本港學界正積極推動STEM（科學、科技、工程和數學）教育，不論是本港或外地的教師都期望透過交流，提高教與學的水平。香港教育大學早前安排來自哈薩克斯坦的中學教師到港交流，當中約三十人昨日到訪中華基金中學，並分組觀課和參觀校園。有哈薩克斯坦教師對該校年僅十三四歲的中學生能自行編寫程式感到驚訝，希望此行可以借鑑香港經驗。

CFSS Students Received First Runner-up and Certificate of Distinction in CityU-CS Robocode Contest 2013
本校學生於香港城市大學電腦科學系Robocode比賽2013中獲得亞軍及傑出表現獎狀 CityU-CS Robocode Contest 2013 was organized by Department of Computer Science, City University of Hong Kong. There are altogether 180 teams in the Contest. After winning 4 matches, two senior students, Lau Cheuk Nam (5A) and Fung Hing Lun (5A), were given the First Runner-up and Certificate of Distinction. Their prizes included two sets of Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 tablets and a trophy. Their coach Mr. Chung Fu Yuen was given Golden Coach Award. 由香港城市大學電腦科學系舉辦的2013 Robocode比賽吸引了180隊參加。本校參賽隊伍入圍決賽，其中一隊更在決賽連勝四場。兩位同學劉焯楠 (5A) 和馮慶麟(5A)獲得亞軍及傑出表現獎狀。獎項包括有三星 Galaxy Tab 3 平板電腦兩部、獎杯乙座。領隊鍾富源老師獲得最佳教練金獎獎杯。

本校學生於「香港電腦奧林匹克競賽」中獲得銅獎 A senior-form student, Chan Joyce Yee Jing (S.5B), participated in Hong Kong Olympiad in Informatics 2013 organized by the Education Bureau. She was given a Bronze Medal. It was the first time that she had participated in this competition. 我校的陳怡晶同學（5B）參加了由教育局舉辦的香港電腦奧林匹克競賽2013。這是她第一次參加這類比賽，高興獲得了銅獎。
Global conference call via SKYPE with FLL/FTC Counterparts in USA, China and Hong Kong
與美國、中國及香港FLL/FTC隊伍利用SKYPE 作全球電話會議 On 12 December, we held a global conference call via SKYPE with our FLL/FTC counterparts in USA, China and Hong Kong for an hour. Altogether, 7 teams participated in the conference. 本校學生於香港城市大學電腦科學系Robocode比賽2012中獲得最佳型格獎及傑出表現獎狀 Four senior students, Pun Chun Sang (5A), Tam Chi Chung (5A), Lau Cheuk Nam (4A), Law Kee Yau (4A) participated in CityU-CS Robocode Contest 2012 organized by Department of Computer Science, City University of Hong Kong. They were given the Best Style Award (Third Place) and Certificate of Distinction. There are altogether 240 teams in the Contest. Two teams in our school entered the final round, with one of them being the best eight. 我校的四位同學潘駿生(5A)、譚智中(5A)、劉焯楠 (4A) 和羅己悠(4A)參加了由香港城市大學電腦科學系舉辦的Robocode比賽，並獲得了最佳型格獎（第三名）及傑出表現獎狀。 是次比賽共有二百四十隊參賽隊伍，本校有兩隊參賽隊伍入圍決賽，其中一隊更在決賽連勝兩場，成為最後八強。
