The “Eastern District Drone Promotion Programme” jointly launched by The Eastern District Office and Eastern District School Liaison Committee strives to enable primary and secondary students to master the skills of drones flying and cultivate problem-solving capabilities during the flight. Two teams in our school took part in the Education Bureau Smart City Project Programme 2018/19, a competition which gives students an opportunity to create innovative products for the development of Smart City in Hong Kong. 【明報專訊】中華基金中學將在教育城的「學與教博覽」分享推行STEM教育的經驗，該校要求所有學生學3D打印，製作獨特而有用的工具，所有中一生亦須參與發明物品解決生活難題。該校資訊及通訊科技科主任林志煒說，希望學生將各種科學知識融匯，學以致用，研發過程中失敗是最可貴的經驗，「那就會費盡心思想想如何解決問題，可刺激學生的熱誠，推動自主學習」。
