In July 2024, our Astronomy Club organized an overseas stargazing activity for students at the light-pollution-free Qingjing Farm, allowing them to appreciate the beauty of the night sky and enhance their knowledge of astronomy through workshops and tours. During the trip, students visited Qingjing Stargazing Park for stargazing activities and explored various astronomical facilities and workshops. To deepen students’ understanding of sustainable development, the school organized an ecological and cultural education tour to Malaysia in July 2024. During the trip, students embarked on a jungle walk in Taman Negara National Park, where they observed the diverse flora and fauna of the rainforest. They explored the mangrove forest of Kuala Selangor, witnessed the enchanting fireflies, visited the Elephant Sanctuary, and toured the Kuala Lumpur Forest Ecological Park, as well as a zoo and a rice farm. To enhance students’ understanding of the cultural and economic development of East China, our school organized an educational tour to the region in March 2024. During the tour, students visited various cultural sites, including the Red Boat of Nanhu Lake, Wuzhen, Jiaxing Museum, and Jiaxing Zongzi Cultural Museum. Switzerland Education Tour

To deepen students’ understanding of global warming, we were honoured to have Mr. Cheung Wai Yin, a polar exploration expert, lead an expedition to the glaciers of Switzerland in July 2024. The journey began at the Institute of Earth Surface Dynamics at the University of Lausanne, where students engaged in glacier research. They then explored the Aletsch Glacier area and Saas Fee, participating in glacier studies and outdoor lectures. To enhance the leadership training of the National Flag Team, deepen their understanding of Chinese culture, and facilitate exchanges with Mainland students, our school organized an educational tour to Beijing in March 2024. During the tour, students attended the National Flag Raising Ceremony at Tiananmen Square and at our sister school, the High School Attached to Beijing University of Technology. In March 2024, ten S4 students of our school participated in the 7th session of the ‘Heart to Heart’ programme jointly organized by the Returned Overseas Chinese Association of Jiangsu Province, the Hong Kong Federation of Education Workers and the Hong Kong Education Workers’ Union. Iceland Education Tour

In March 2023, our school welcomed a visit from an Icelandic student. In October 2023, our three students and two teachers visited Iceland in return. During the tour, students had the chance to explore Iceland’s history and culture, learn about the use of geothermal energy, and observe the country’s economic and technological advancements. They also engaged with local Icelandic students. Through such overseas educational programs, we aim to nurture young individuals with a global and multicultural perspective.

Yichang Music Education Tour

12 CFSS students took part in the 9th Yangtze River Piano Music Festival, organized by Parsons Music, in September 2023. They had the wonderful opportunity to perform the famous song “Below The Lion Rock” during a music exchange program. Additionally, they participated in various musical activities, including concerts by award-winning pianists, tours of piano factories, and music education demonstrations. The educational tour provided them with an enriching musical experience.

In April 2018, 60 students headed for Shanghai to study its science, technology and economy. They visited our sister school, Shanghai Nanyang High School, and  attended lessons with their Shangahi counterparts.  The students of both school visited Suzhou and Shanghai Science and Technology Museum together.
