Welcome Students and Teachers from Zhejiang Jiaxing No.1 Middle School Visiting CFSS

In March 2024, we visited our sister school, Zhejiang Jiaxing No. 1 Middle School, and were delighted to welcome their students and teachers to our school on 18th July 2024. Taiwan Education Tour

In July 2024, our Astronomy Club organized an overseas stargazing activity for students at the light-pollution-free Qingjing Farm, allowing them to appreciate the beauty of the night sky and enhance their knowledge of astronomy through workshops and tours. During the trip, students visited Qingjing Stargazing Park for stargazing activities and explored various astronomical facilities and workshops. East China Education Tour

To enhance students’ understanding of the cultural and economic development of East China, our school organized an educational tour to the region in March 2024. During the tour, students visited various cultural sites, including the Red Boat of Nanhu Lake, Wuzhen, Jiaxing Museum, and Jiaxing Zongzi Cultural Museum. They also explored economic sites such as Nanhu Place and the Suzhou Urban Planning Exhibition Hall. Switzerland Education Tour

To deepen students’ understanding of global warming, we were honoured to have Mr. Cheung Wai Yin, a polar exploration expert, lead an expedition to the glaciers of Switzerland in July 2024. The journey began at the Institute of Earth Surface Dynamics at the University of Lausanne, where students engaged in glacier research. They then explored the Aletsch Glacier area and Saas Fee, participating in glacier studies and outdoor lectures. Beijing Education Tour for National Flag Team

To enhance the leadership training of the National Flag Team, deepen their understanding of Chinese culture, and facilitate exchanges with Mainland students, our school organized an educational tour to Beijing in March 2024. During the tour, students attended the National Flag Raising Ceremony at Tiananmen Square and at our sister school, the High School Attached to Beijing University of Technology. Suzhou Education Tour

In March 2024, ten S4 students of our school participated in the 7th session of the ‘Heart to Heart’ programme jointly organized by the Returned Overseas Chinese Association of Jiangsu Province, the Hong Kong Federation of Education Workers and the Hong Kong Education Workers’ Union. The students visited historical sites, information centres and museums in Suzhou to deepen their understanding of the natural and human history, economic and social development, and folk customs of the places. Iceland Education Tour

In March 2023, our school welcomed a visit from an Icelandic student. In October 2023, our three students and two teachers visited Iceland in return. During the tour, students had the chance to explore Iceland’s history and culture, learn about the use of geothermal energy, and observe the country’s economic and technological advancements. They also engaged with local Icelandic students. Through such overseas educational programs, we aim to nurture young individuals with a global and multicultural perspective.

Chinese Calligraphy Workshop Secondary One students joined the last Chinese Calligraphy Workshop of the year and polished their skills in writing Chinese calligraphy.
