An Introduction of GCCRC

Facilities

The Geology and Climate Change Resource Centre (GCCRC) is to provide a cross-disciplinary learning center for our students. Through various exhibits, collections and activities, the Centre will provide students with opportunities to explore the nature and the evolution of the Earth, the various meteorological factors as well as the hot issue of global climate change.

  • To enhance students’ knowledge of Earth Sciences and Weather and Climate
  • To nurture students’ sense of global citizenship in tackling global climate change
  • To synthesize abstract concepts from different subjects such as Geography, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, etc. so that students are able to think from multiple perspectives
  • To inspire an appreciation of the dynamic natural world as well as to arouse students’ interests towards the variety of geological resources in Earth Science
