Sharing by Mr. Thorir Ibsen, Ambassador of Iceland to the People’s Republic of China

On 15th December, 2022, Mr. Thorir Ibsen, Ambassador of Iceland to the People’s Republic of China visited our school and conducted sharing session with students who have been Iceland for an exchange tour in 2018. Mr. Ibsen and our students conducted interactive conversation on their experience on Iceland. Students were impressed by Ambassador’s sharing on the history of skyr, a famous Icelandic dessert.

Solar Harvest Scheme in CFSS

Solar Harvest Solar Energy Support Scheme is a Government program providing subsidy and one-stop service to help eligible schools install small-scale solar PV systems at their premises. CFSS has successfully joined the Solar Harvest Scheme since last year. The photos below illustrate the solar panels and components of the “FiT” Scheme System at our rooftop. Interdisciplinary Field Trip to Zero Carbon Building (ZCB)

An interdisciplinary field trip to Zero Carbon Building (ZCB) was organized on 16 February 2019 in collaboration with Biology, Visual Art, Geology and Information & Communication Technology Department. To let students well-equipped with related skills for the trip, a pre-trip workshop was launched on 15 February 2019 as well. Visit to the Jockey Club Museum of Climate Change in CUHK

A group of CFSS teachers and students visited the Jockey Club Museum of Climate Change in CUHK on 25 October 2018. Dr. Rebecca Lee Lok Sze and Professor Li Yuan-sheng delivered a talk titled “Polar Ice Melting and Global Climate Change”. Dr. Lee also shared her experience on the trips to the two Poles and Mount Everest. Students enjoyed her fruitful sharing much and asked a lot of follow-up questions in the seminar.
