A boat trip to the NE geosites of Hong Kong Geopark was organised on 6th May 2017. Students were able to enjoy the remarkable coastal landforms at Tolo Channel. They also learnt about the cultural environmental through orienteering activities. Students were able to learn more about Hong Kong Geopark, especially the Ap Chau and Kat O areas.
A trip to the Sai Kung geosite of the Hong Kong Geopark was organized on 24th October 2015. Through this activity, students learnt more about the geology of Hong Kong. The activity entailed close observation of the most typical hexagonal columnar joints from different angles. On 19th August 2016, a group of CFSS Geology Ambassador joined an exchange program with high-school students coming from Japan. On that day, they visited the Sai Kung geosite of Hong Kong Geopark and discussed about the geology there. After the visit, there was a cultural sharing session. On 13th Dec 2014, a field trip to Ma Shi Chau Special Area was organised. Students studied strata, rock properties, sedimentation features and different geological compositions. Also, they went into the dense woodland with outstanding conservation value. Students learnt more about geology in Hong Kong.
