Professor Hiromi Kobori and her PhD student, Ms. Emu Miyashita, from Faculty of Environmental Studies of Tokyo City University paid a warm visit to our school on 14 September 2018. Professor Kobori is a world-renowned expert on environmental toxicology while Ms. Emu Miyashita is the Ambassador (Japan) of the CitizenScience.Asia Alliance. In the visit, we exchanged ideas on fostering self-directed learning in school and promoting citizen science to the community. We evaluated the possibility of collaboration between Tokyo City University and our school on citizen science in the near future.
