Online Workshop on “Aerospace Science and Space Seeds in CFSS”

30 CFSS teachers and students participated in the Online Lecture on “Aerospace Science and Space Seeds in CFSS” organized by Green Guru on 21 February 2022 (Mon). In the online workshop, Guru Leaders introduced the space seed species in the school and their current conditions. Winner of the ‘Most Active Participation School Award’ & ‘Best Performance School Award’ on the Low-Carbon Living Online Q & A Competition

To foster students’ understanding of the ways to practise low-carbon living, all of our students participated in the “Low-Carbon Living Online Q & A Competition” on the E-Learning Platform on Decarbonisation which is organized by the Council for Sustainable Development and the Education Bureau. The 10th Anniversary Celebration of UNESCO Hong Kong Association cum UN International Human Solidarity Day

School Principal Ho Tik Shun and Sustainable Development Team Coordinator Tong Man Chung Jacky represented our school to attend the banquet of celebrating the 10th anniversary of UNESCO Hong Kong Association cum UN International Human Solidarity Day on 20 December 2021. No Plastic Campaign

Our S.2 students have searched the information about the problem associated from using single-use plastic in Hong Kong. They also researched the suggested solutions for “no plastic life”. They designed the board content and organized the manpower. In the morning of 9 December, 2021, our students set up the booth. Honey Bee Conservation Signature Campaign

In order to raise awareness of biodiversity and species conservation, Green Gurus has organized a Honey Bee Conservation Signature Campaign. Honey bee has a paramount role in the ecosystem. Almost 75% of crops are pollinated by bees and other insects, making agriculture and food production possible. However, urbanization and pesticides are threatening their survival. CFSS joined Town Hall Meeting of Public Engagement on Control of Single-use Plastics organised by Council for Sustainable Development, HKSAR on 22/11

CFSS is one of the only two invited schools for the Town Hall Meeting. 7 Environmental Prefects, led by Deputy Principal Wong Siu Kwong Jacky and Teacher-in-charge of Sustainable Team Tong Man Chung Jacky, joined it. Among the 70 participants of different stakeholders, CFSS participants actively expressed suggestions to policies to cut the single-use plastic in Hong Kong in future.
