Student receiving award in The Global Final of S. -T. Yau High School Science Award

The S. -T. Yau High School Science Award (YHSA) is designed to promote the development of scientific research amongst youth and to encourage talented and enthusiastic teenagers to explore the mysteries of science.

This year, more than 1050 teams took part in the competition, coming from 28 provinces in China, as well as oversea areas, such as North America and Hong Kong. After careful reviews by more than 200 scientists in the world, Leung Long Hei Ziv (S.5A) grasped the Silver Award in the Chemistry Category, in YHSA Asian Regional Competition and qualified as the finalist in Global Final of YHSA, held in Tsinghua University, Beijing. China from 12th to 15th December, 2019.

In the final round, Leung Long Hei Ziv received Honourable Mention in Chemistry Category, crystal trophy and scholarship. His project focuses on the synthesis and characterization of novel alloy-based nanostructured electrode as the anode of direct urea fuel cell.
