Following the outstanding performance in the previous years, our School succeeds to grab 14 prizes in the Hong Kong Youth Science & Technology Invention Competition 18-19. Our school had joined the “Connecting Students with Nature through STEAM” programme” launched by Ocean Park. The event offered teachers a unique opportunity to use the Park’s rides, animal exhibits, and conservation resources to inspire in students a boundless imagination and to encourage them to explore the principles of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) through lively learning experiences. CFSS has received 2017 Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence – Schools (Secondary) – Silver Award

Our School emphasizes the engagement of all our stakeholders in environmental protection programmes. Starting from planting trees on the campus, the School integrates the concepts of sustainable development and biodiversity with the School’s facilities, policy, curriculum and cross-curricular activities. We also carries out scientific research work and cooperates with different organizations to educate the community on environmental issues, so as to enhance students’ environmental awareness through a holistic approach. CFSS Students Became Champions in EIE Robotics Challenge Junior 2018: Flying Robot

Flying Robot is organized by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Hong Kong students can design, build and program their own robots by using the 3D Printing technology. Students are able to make use their creativity and problem-solving skills, and increase their interest in electronic Engineering. CFSS Honoured in Sustainable Development School Award Programme 2016-2018

CFSS was honoured again in the prize presentation ceremony of the Sustainable Development School Award Programme 2016-2018, held on 7 July 2018. The Programme was launched in Sept 2016, and themed on “sustainable consumption of biological resources”. Addressing the theme of the Programme, we engaged our neighbouring community under the theme of sustainability and hence obtained a “Sustainable Development Community Award”. 2nd Runner-Up in the 7th Hong Kong Youth Science Fiction Writing Competition

Our students have participated in the 7th Hong Kong Youth Science Fiction Writing Competition (2017-2018). After the final round, Lai Wing Yin (5B) won the 2nd Runner-Up in the Senior Division. Besides, Leung Hei Man (1D), Cheung Ho Lam (3B), Chiu Shun Lok (3E) were given Merit Awards in Junior Division, while Hung Tsz Hin (4A), Ho Ho Ching (4B) and Chu Choi Tung (5E) were given Merit Awards in Senior Division. HK Student Science Project Competition 2018

The Hong Kong Student Science Project Competition 2018 (jointly organized by the Innovation and Technology Commission, The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, the Education Bureau, the Hong Kong Science Museum and supported by the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation) is a significant science competition for secondary schools.
