| 習性：本品多呈紡錘形，有的略彎曲，長2～3.5cm，直徑0.5～1cm。表面棕褐色或黑褐色，有縱皺紋，並有6～10個略隆起的環節，節上有未除淨的棕色毛須和鬚根斷痕；去淨毛須者較光滑，環節不明顯。質硬,經蒸煮者斷面黃棕色或紅棕色，角質樣；生曬者斷面色白而顯粉性，內皮層環紋明顯，中柱色較深，點狀維管束散在。氣香，味微苦。
