Biology field trip to Mai Po

To consolidate student’s subject knowledge and equip them with more in-field exposure, S.5 and S.4 Biology students had joint the field trip at Mai Po Nature Reserve on 3rd April 2023, organized by the World Wide Fund (Hong Kong). 35 Students studying Biology had visited the vast habitats in Mai Po, including Gei Wai, mangroves, mudflats etc. In the guided tour, students were taught to use binoculars to observe and identify different bird species in birdwatching houses. Demonstration Lessons on “Student-Centred Learning”

Our school collaborated with Education University of Hong Kong to launch two demonstration lessons on “Student-Centred Learning” on 13 June 2022 (Monday). The theme for the S.3 Science lesson was “Seed Dispersal Mechanisms” while the theme for the S.5 Biology lesson was “Evolution: Darwinism & Lamarckism”.Teachers from different schools conducted peer lesson preparation to plan for their learning activities of the lessons, aiming at fostering students’ self-directed learning and extended learning through group learning and collaboration.
